Cumulative cultural evolution in humans - Pays Bas - 9 juil

A one-year postdoctoral position to study cumulative cultural evolution is available within the Behavioural Biology Group (Utrecht University, The Netherlands).

Applications are invited for a one year postdoctoral position for experimental work on cumulative cultural evolution in humans, with a closing date of July 9th, 2007. This project, funded by a NWO Cognition pilot grant, investigates influences on cumulative cultural evolution in adult humans, using transmission chains to investigate transmission efficacy and the accumulation of innovations under various conditions, and to investigate the transmission of norms and tendencies.
