Pending funding by the NSF, the IPC U.S. Committee is offering partial travel support to
U.S. citizens and U.S. permanent residents to facilitate attending the 6th International
Penguin Conference in Hobart, Tasmania.
Priority for funding will be given to those who (1) are planning to give a presentation
(oral or poster) at the meeting; (2) have received or are about to receive their Ph.D.
but that are junior in level or otherwise not yet established in the field; and (3) have
limited or no access to institutional or external funding that can be used to attend the
meeting. In an attempt to increase the racial and ethnic diversity of attendees from the
United States, we especially encourage minority applicants.

(1) a 1-2 page curriculum vitae
(2) an expanded abstract (1 page maximum) of the work you have or plan on
submitting for consideration to the IPC program
(3) a proposed budget, including any additional sources of travel support
available
(4) names and email addresses of two references
Application deadline is 1 May 2007. We will notify successful applicants by 15 May 2007.
