A two-year post-doc position is currently available, as of February
2008,
at Stockholm Brain Insitute (
www.stockholmbrain.se), Karolinska
Institutet
(
www.ki.se), Stockholm, Sweden. The position is connected to a
longitudinal study called “Learning and Memory in Children and young
Adults” which is presently being conducted at Stockholm Brain
Institute in
collaboration with a number of other universities in Sweden. As part of
this study, we are currently acquiring functional and structural MRI
data,
performing cognitive testing and acquiring genetic data from children
and
young adults.
The responsibilities of the post-doc will include pre-processing and
analysis of functional and structural MR images, and linking the results
with the genetic and cognitive data. There will also be opportunities to
conduct independent MR research. Applicants should be experienced in
image
processing and statistical analysis, usage of neuroimaging software
(SPM,
FSL) and have knowledge of Matlab and UNIX. The post-doc will be
affiliated with the group for Development Cognitive Neuroscience
(
www.klingberglab.se) led by Prof. Torkel Klingberg. This group is
part of
Stockholm Brain Institute, an inter-disciplinary cognitive neuroscience
centre at Karolinska Institutet.
